Each member of our team has obtained the appropriate levels of education, experience and training to receive and maintain their credentials. They have demonstrated their knowledge of core skills, abilities and values to pass rigorous state exams. Everyone at Vernon Massage and Wellness is Certified and Licensed in their related fields and are members of professional associations.
We uphold our professional standards by participating in continuing education classes and in-house training to keep up with the new research in massage, bodywork, exercise and holistic health.
We have over 20 years of working experience and most importantly, we love what we do and embrace these healing traditions and lifestyles ourselves!

Our staff:
Jennifer graduated from the Somerset School of Massage Therapy in 1996. She is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has advanced training in a variety of massage techniques and has been involved in the fitness and holistic services since 1990.
Jennifer is the owner and director of Vernon Massage and Wellness, which she established in 1996. She customizes her massage therapy sessions and uses a combination of Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial, Sports and Stretching Techniques, Reflexology, Chinese Massage, Manual Lymph Drainage, Consulting and After Care to uniquely fit the therapeutic needs of each client.
Jennifer is also an accomplished Taiji instructor and studied with Grandmaster Jou, Tsung Hwa, who gave her permission to teach his style in the early 90’s. She teaches Chen style Taiji and related arts. She teaches classes and seminars in natural solutions for healthy living.

If you have already had the opportunity to meet Cindy, then you know how professional and committed she is to massage therapy. She is a wonderful, knowledgeable and conscientious massage therapist and we are privileged to have her join our team.
Cindy graduated from Healing Hands Institute for Massage Therapy in Westwood, New Jersey in March of 2002. Her training included Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and Neuromuscular massage techniques. She also studied Kinesiology and Hydrotherapy applications.
Cindy furthered her credentials by becoming a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, currently the highest credential offered in the state of New Jersey. She also has become certified in Pregnancy Massage.
Prior to joining our team, Cindy worked as a massage therapist at One Body Wellness Center in Ridgewood. She moved to the area last fall and now offers her services at our office. Cindy’s specialties include Swedish, Deep Tissue and Pregnancy Massage. Each of her massages are unique as she customizes her techniques according to the client’s concerns at the time of their appointment.
Cindy also offers on-site chair massage and can come to your office to offer the stress and pain relief so needed in the workplace.
When she’s not massaging, Cindy enjoys the outdoors. She hikes, bikes, canoes, skis and horseback rides. She enjoys music and reading. Cindy also believes in giving back to her new community and has assisted Vernon Massage and Wellness at various fundraisers and community events.
Cindy looks forward to meeting you and is available for appointments throughout the week, including SUNDAYS!!
Bernardine has been working in the holistic health services since the early 1990’s. After assisting other practitioners over the years, she decided to pursue her own calling in the massage and bodywork field.
Bernardine officially started her massage therapy career with an interest in Reflexology. She received her education at the Institute for Therapeutic Massage and graduated in 1998 as a Certified Reflexologist. She is trained in both hand and foot techniques.
Upon graduation she joined the Vernon Massage and Wellness team as our Reflexologist. With her nurturing manner and talented hands, she quickly grew a clientele. During this time she also studied Reiki and became a Certified Level 1 Reiki Practitioner. She studied the Usui Shiki Ryoho system and graduated in 1999.
She decided to further her career and went back to school to become a Certified Massage Therapist. Bernardine graduated with honors the summer of 2000 and began offering massage therapy at our office. She is also member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, which she joined in 1999.
While Bernardine has always worked part-time at our office, in 2006 she decided to work with us full-time! Both our team and our clients are delighted that she has more hours available. She is available for Reflexology, Massage Therapy and Reiki sessions.
Bernardine has 3 wonderful children. When she is not massaging, she enjoys her family time, being outdoors and playing with her dogs!

Terry graduated from Dover Business College in 2005 with a Certification in massage therapy. She received 770 hours of comprehensive training, including: anatomy and physiology; pathology; ethics; CPR and First Aid; and massage theory and technique in Swedish, Sports and Stretching and Prenatal. Terry is also a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
She is the mother of two wonderful boys and enjoys crafts, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Terry offers Swedish, Deep Tissue and Prenatal Massage Therapy sessions. She is available Thursday - Sunday by appointment only. Terry is also available for home visits and Massage and Wellness parties.
